Magnis Energy Technologies is a vertically integrated lithium-ion battery company with strategic investments in the global Lithium-ion battery supply chain. Their most notable asset is their investment in Imperium3 New York Inc which operates the upcoming Lithium-ion Gigafactory in Endicott, New York , USA .
On the 4th June, Magnis announced that iM3NY had begun their manual process and developed their first lithium-ion battery cell.

Magnis recently announced that the lithium-ion gigafactory iM3NY based in Endicott, New York had reached the impressive milestone of semi-automated production.
Within the manufacturing industry, production processes may be manual, semi-automated, or fully automated. Semi-Automated or semi-autonomous production is a process or procedure which has both human and machine steps involved.
Semi-Automated production is an important phase for iM3NY where batches of cells are produced for both marketing and due diligence purposes. Volumes will continue to increase all the way up to fully automated production. The production stages and expected timeline are shown below.

Over the last year iM3NY have been working around the clock with Engineering firm Ramboll group to develop one of the US’ largest home-grown Gigafactories. We highlight some of iM3NY’s significant achievements in 2021 below.
